The City of Copenhagen, ITS Denmark and ERTICO – ITS Europe have an Open Day for current and potential exhibitors and commercial partners for the ITS World Congress 2018. Under the theme “Quality of Life”, the Congress will focus on innovative ITS solutions for easier and healthier mobility in people’s everyday life.
The benefits of either exhibiting or entering a commercial partnership with the Congress are huge and reflect a commitment to bringing together industry professionals with unique ITS expertise and technology in order to develop new business solutions. Through the exhibition and partnership packages available you, together with ERTICO – ITS Europe and the City of Copenhagen, will have a world platform to showcase your ideas and solutions and in turn contribute to the success of the Congress.
The Open Day will include general information on the ITS World Congress 2018 as well as details on how to become a commercial partner or exhibitor. We will also be looking at how you could engage in some of the other activities included in the Congress with what you wish to demonstrate and debate. Most importantly it will give you the chance to discuss how your organisation and 25th ITS World Congress, Copenhagen 2018 can work together to showcase the future of ITS.
Sessions are a vital part of the ITS World Congress 2018. Under the theme “ITS - Quality of Life”, experts will have the opportunity to present the latest ITS solutions and mobility technologies. The Congress will be a momentum to show ground breaking results on how ITS solutions have created a positive impact for the citizens.
The City of Copenhagen strongly believes in employing ITS solutions. The driving ambition in Copenhagen is to become the first carbon-neutral city by 2025. ITS is definitely an important player in achieving this goal.
In this perspective, the City of Copenhagen sees Intelligent Transport Systems as an important means to help us improve traffic flow, promote cycling and enhance public transport. We believe that ITS is about finding solutions that are smarter, greener and healthier. The green agenda goes hand in hand with the citizens’ needs.
The International Programme Committee is pleased to present the six topics running through the three Congress pillars – Programme, Exhibition and Demonstrations:
1. Mobility services - from transport to mobility to livability
2. ITS and the environment
3. Connected, cooperative and automated transport
4. Next generation goods delivery
5. Satellite technology applied to mobility
6. Transport network operations
This year, the City of Copenhagen, in collaboration with the Network of ITS National Associations, will address a seventh topic — "Cross-border solutions".This topic will underpin the "ITS — Quality of Life" theme because cross-border solutions make it easier for people, goods, services and capital to travel and commute across borders.
Host Topic: Cross-border mobility solutions
Also, in cooperation with the ITS Nordic Network, the City of Copenhagen will organise a special Nordic Stream across the different topics highlighting the ITS Nordic way.
The ambition for this ITS World Congress is to create a link between the past ITS European and ITS World Congresses. What was presented as an idea at a previous congress, might now be rolled out in the streets to show the impact.
